Terms and Conditions

The following terms and conditions apply to the competition held on the website http://www.everythingxexpo.com and all pages hosted under this domain.

The competition is held by Almost Anything Squad, the organizers and owners of Everything X Expo’s – Everything Kids Expo.

1) General

By registering in the competition, the participants signify that they agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of participation stated herein. Almost Anything Squad reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions without giving any notice to the participants as may be reasonable required for Almost Anything Squad’s purposes, by publishing those amended terms on the http://www.everythingxexpo.com website.

2) Eligibility for competition

The competition is open to all residents of South Africa of 18 years of age or more when registering for the competition.

Representatives and employees of Almost Anything Squad, sponsors, advertisers, event coordinators and advertising agencies of Almost Anything Squad, including their family and household members, are not eligible to participate in the competition.

3) Registration

To participate in the competition, participants must purchase a valid and official Everything Kids Expo Adult Ticket and register on the website http://www.everythingxexpo.com by providing all the following information:

  • First name
  • Surname
  • Date of birth
  • Valid e-mail address
  • Phone number
  • Ticket Number of a Purchased Adult Ticket

Participants must ensure that the information provided to Almost Anything Squad for registration in the competition is complete, accurate and valid. If such information is found to be incomplete, inaccurate and / or invalid, the participant will be excluded from the competition.

To be eligible for the prize winning, participants must inform Almost Anything Squad of any changes to the information provided to Almost Anything Squad before the closing date (as defined hereinafter) by e-mail to info@aa-squad.com

The participation in the competition must be done on the website http://www.everythingxexpo.com after 21 August 2017 at 00:00 (“start date”) and before 24 October 2017 at 23:59 (“closing date”).

Participants are given the option to state whether or not they have liked the Facebook page of Almost Anything Squad and Everything Kids Expo. This is not a requirement to enter the competition but they will be given a second entry using the same ticket number if they have. A cross reference will be made to a winning ticket and if the participant has been found to be providing false information they will be excluded from the competition.

An Adult Ticket to Everything Kids Expo directly from Almost Anything Squad is R30. Should a particular sales platform, company, person or other associate require an additonal fee to process the purchase, the participant is aware of this addition to the ticket price and is aware that they may go elsewhere to purchase the ticket. The only qualification Almost Anything Squad requires is the purchase of an Adult Ticket, the amount it was purchased for will not affect the entry in anyway.

4) Conduct of the competition

The winner of the competition will be determined only by a draw based on randomness.

Almost Anything Squad’s decision regarding the winner of the competition will be final and binding on all parties.

Only one prize can be won and participation in the competition therefore cannot create any expectation or right to any prize.

5) Prize

5.1) Competition prize

The competition draw will take place on the 27th of October 2017. (draw date) At Sha-mani Lodge & Conference Venue located at 30 Doncaster Road, Newmarket, Alberton.

The prize for the winning contest shall be R15 000.

5.2) Prize claim

The prize won shall be delivered free of charge to the winner’s postal address in Johannesburg, South Africa at an agreed upon time. If the address is not located in Johannesburg there will be an additional fee for delivery.

When receiving their prize, the winner must present his or her passport or ID and the winning ticket. The winner must be present to sign for the prize. No other persons may sign except the winner.

If the prize remains unclaimed by the winner after 60 days of the notification of the winner, Almost Anything Squad shall conduct a new prize draw for the unclaimed prize on 5 January 2018 to select a new winner.

5.3) Non-transferability of the prize

The Prize is non-transferable and non-exchangeable for credit or any other prize, unless agreed between the prize winner and Almost Anything Squad. Such decision remains at the sole and absolute discretion of Almost Anything Squad.

5.4) Replacement of prize

If, for any reason, Almost Anything Squad does not find the same prize as stated upon the participant registration, Almost Anything Squad reserves the right to replace such prize by another prize of equal or higher monetary value.

5.5) Prize won to be accepted “as is”

Almost Anything Squad makes no warranty or representation as to the quality of the prize. All terms and conditions of the prizes are hereby disclaimed and excluded.

The winner shall accept the prize “as is”.

6) Winner’s announcement and notification

The winner will be notified within 4 (four) days of the draw date by phone and /or e-mail, based on the information provided upon registration in the competition.

The results of the competition shall be announced on the website everythingxexpo.com or any page hosted under this domain within 10 (ten) days of the draw date.

7) Disqualification and rules of conduct

Almost Anything Squad reserves the right to exclude or disqualify any participant from the competition who does not fully comply with the terms and conditions stipulated herein, and / or act in an unfair or dishonest way, and / or tries to have an influence on the outcome of the draw by annoyance, harassment, disruption or corruption of Almost Anything Squad employees, representatives, sponsors or any of their relatives, and / or manipulate the process of participation, and / or intends to interfere with the website http://www.everythingxexpo.com other than for purposes of participating into the competition.

8) Promotional, Marketing and Publicity Activities

Almost Anything Squad reserves the right to disclose and publish the first name, surname and any other personal information of the winner, including his or her picture, for advertising purposes. The winner agrees to participate and cooperate with Almost Anything Squad for such purposes. Winners or participants who take part in publicity will not be entitled to any payment or other remuneration for such publicity or otherwise.

9) Termination and cancellation of the competition

Almost Anything Squad reserves the right to terminate or cancel the competition at anytime without notification to the participants and without needing to give any reason whatsoever for such termination or cancellation.

10) Privacy Policy

By providing Almost Anything Squad with personal information, participants hereby confirm that they agree with the terms and conditions of the privacy policy imposed by Almost Anything Squad, accessible on the link: https://everythingxexpo.com/win-r15-000/terms-conditions-privacy-policy/

If a participant does not agree with any term or condition of the privacy policy, Almost Anything Squad invites such participant not to provide any personal information.

11) Liability and legal proceedings

Almost Anything Squad and its sponsors shall not be liable for any late arrival, loss, alteration, delay, misdirection and/or manipulation of data and / or emails during or after data entry, data transmission and/or data storage which are due to external factors or actors.

Almost Anything Squad and its sponsors are not liable either for any destruction, manipulation, theft or alteration of the systems storing the data. Almost Anything Squad and its sponsors are not liable either for any damage or loss incurred by the winner or the winner’s relatives in connection with the use of the prize.

Almost Anything Squad can also not be held responsible for any forms or entries which were not successfully submitted due to factors out of Almost Anything Squad’s control.

12) Third parties links

Almost Anything Squad does not assume any responsibility for the content or action of any third party web pages or websites, the link of which being found on http://www.everythingxexpo.com or any page hosted under this domain.

13) Use of personal information

By registering into the competition, participants agree that Almost Anything Squad collects and processes the personal information of participants, as stated in the terms and conditions of the privacy policy imposed by Almost Anything Squad, accessible on the link: https://everythingxexpo.com/win-r15-000/terms-conditions-privacy-policy/

 


 

Privacy Policy

The following terms and conditions of the privacy policy apply to the competition (“win R15 000”) held on the website http://www.everythingxexpo.com (and all pages hosted under this domain) and all participants registering into this competition.

The competition is held by the company Almost Anything Squad.

Those terms and conditions of the privacy policy are available at all time. They may be altered from time to time without notice.

1) Definition of Personal Information

“Personal information” refers to all the information given by the participant to Almost Anything Squad by going through the process of registration in the competition, including: Name, surname, date of birth, postal or residential address, gender, telephone number and e-mail address;

2) Use of personal information

The personal information collected by Almost Anything Squad serves for advertising purposes, such as displaying, pushing or sending relevant offers Almost Anything Squad would like to relating to their business.

By registering into the competition, the participant accepts that Almost Anything Squad may collect, use, process and disclose participants personal information to authorized third parties for advertising purposes as permitted by law, including across the borders of South Africa.

3) Disclosure of personal information

The participation in the competition by furnishing personal information is entirely voluntary.

Almost Anything Squad discloses personal information for advertising purposes only.

The participants may require that their personal information is not disclosed to specific companies or organizations, and are invited to request such by sending an e-mail to info@aa-squad.com

However, the participants hereby acknowledge that they are aware that some governmental organization may request access to personal information collected by Almost Anything Squad.

As stated in the terms and conditions of the competition, accessible on the link https://everythingxexpo.com/win-r15-000/terms-conditions-privacy-policy/, participants acknowledge that in case they win the prize, they agree that Almost Anything Squad organizing Everything Kids Expo publicly publishes their personal information such as name, surname, gender and picture. Participants can request however that their picture is not disclosed publicly.

Almost Anything Squad asserts that it will never publish a particular participant’s publicly sensitive information such as level of income or level of education.

Almost Anything Squad does not accept responsibility or liability if some personal information is published due to an unauthorized party having gained access unlawfully to its database and the participant hereby waives such claim against Almost Anything Squad in this regard.

4) Access and deletion of personal information and opt-out mechanism

At anytime, any participant can request that Almost Anything Squad provides him or her with the information it has collected about him or her (and about him or her only).

At anytime, any participant can request that Almost Anything Squad removes and / or deletes and / or corrects the information it has collected about him or her (and about him or her only).

At anytime, any participant can request not to be contacted anymore by Almost Anything Squad (opt-out mechanism).

At anytime, any participant can object to the processing of personal information although such objection will automatically disqualify the participant from participation in the competition.
